Cost of Service
My rate is $180 per fifty-minute session for individual therapy and $200 for couples therapy. Some clients choose to pay privately for services (out-of-pocket) to ensure greater predictability and confidentiality regarding their care. This option allows you to set your own pace for treatment without limitations imposed by insurance coverage, and provides clarity regarding costs and billing.
While it is common to focus on the hourly rate of therapy, it is important to recognize that therapy represents a meaningful investment in your long-term emotional health. The impact of unresolved stress, burnout, or traumatic experiences can extend into various aspects of life, often at a significant personal cost.
If my rate does not suit your financial capabilities, feel free to inquire about my sliding scale or obtain other resources. I offer a range of fee options to accommodate varying financial needs, with the goal of making therapy accessible while minimizing financial strain. You are welcome to select a rate that feels fair and sustainable for your circumstances. This process does not require documentation or proof of income; it is based on an open and honest conversation to determine what is workable and respectful for both parties.
Insurance
I accept United Healthcare and am able to provide clients with a monthly "superbill" which can be submitted to insurances for possible reimbursement. I recommend that clients contact their insurance provider directly prior to starting services to verify mental health benefits, including coverage, copays, deductibles, any session limits, and out-of-network behavioral health services reimbursement. This helps avoid unexpected costs and ensures clarity before beginning services.
Types of Payment
All major credit cards and debit cards for payment are accepted, as well as Venmo.
Cancellation Policy
I adhere to the standard 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling notification in order to avoid a full payment for a missed session.
